Kings of Europe at last!!

Champions of England, now Kings of Europe!

YES!! After 120 minutes of normal time and extra time, it was all down to penalty shoot-outs for the Champions League final between Man Utd and Chelsea.. Boy was it nerve wrecking.. Seriously, I go for exam also never under this much of pressure.. and when Ronaldo of all people missed the penalty, I thought "habis la.. this is gonna be one of those nights..". I was prepared to switch off the TV when John Terry, Chelsea captain, walked up to take the final penalty which would give his side the cup, when suddenly, he slipped and fell as he took the kick which resulted the ball to go way wide into the stands!

I think I woke up the neighbours when I shouted in delight... we were still in it, and after the next 2 United penalties, the pressure was on Chelsea and to my (and the other millions of Red Devils fans) delight, Van der Sar did what he did at the very beginning of the season... he saved the penalty!! Thus Manchester United have been crowned kings of Europe again!! Oh the sheer delight and relief I felt there after. And just for kickers, Ryan Giggs scored the last penalty before Chelsea missed. So.. another great night for the old timer :P.

Van der Sar with the all important save

Oh and for your info, that boy Ronaldo was on the score sheet again with a superb towering header. Folks, this is why I love football so much. So those who don't like or don't understand me and football post.. neah, I'm too elated to say anything bad. That wraps up another season of club football. Euro 2008 is coming up next!! I can't wait!! hahaha

On another note, American Idol Season 7 just had its finale yesterday and the results very early today morning, as a result, I only manage to sleep for 2 hours just to catch the result show. And the winner is...

Rocker David Cook

Honestly, after yesterday's performance, I didn't think he could win AI7, judging by what he has put out during the entire season, I thought he thoroughly deserved it. And what can I say, I was 2 for 2 on the night/day. United beat Chelsea, Cook beat Archuleta. And now, its already 2 in the afternoon and I only slept for 2 plus one hour nap. Gonna take another nap now.

One HOT & HUMID Week

Another week has passed and I'm still in Malacca. And during this week I have to say has been quite unproductive for me. Besides sitting in front of the tv watching shows from morning till nite, mostly cheering our country in the recent Thomas & Uber Cup happening on channel 816. Sadly we fell short of the semis for the men and quarters for the women. But I have to say, valiant effort on both sides. Well, besides that, I haven't really gotten around to do anything really.

But one of the few things that I think was a highlite of the week was waking up at the crack of dawn (well ok ok, 8am) for dim sum with su ling n leo. I know Yong's recent post was about some frozen self steamed dim sum, dude, we had the REAL thing!. Since during the weekdays I don't have a car to drive, I'm lucky to be driven around by Leo all the way to Ong Kim Wee for dim sum! Would've taken more pictures for those who are abroad and can't enjoy this but really tak larat la.. so early in the morning.. no mood to take pictures. haha..

Spread wasn't much, but it wasn't bad.

Honestly I think the dim sum in my very own backyard (Bukit Beruang la...) is much better then the one here (no offence k leo) but since got ppl willing to drive, can't really complain right? Haha. But they slack one important dim sum of em all - no har kao !!! OMFG... like how can have no har kao wan!??! -.-'' ... For those who have no bloody clue, dats the siew mai type with prawns inside. Dang.. Well, all in all, I give a pass to this shop la. Wouldn't mind comin back but certainly I want someone who will eat dim sum *ahem ahem, suling* a lot to join :D.

On Thursday night pula was the first time during the week that I manage to play futsal at back here! So that in particular was a high point of the day :). That very same day the whole world found out that American Idol 7 finale battle will be David vs. David. Well, David Cook and David Archuleta(sorry bout spelling ya). And honestly, I so want DC to win cos I feel like he's a true talent, reminds me bout Daughtry alot! And if you haven't heard his rendition of Mariah Carey's Always Be My Baby and Micheal Jackson's Bille Jean, I urge you to go to YouTube and view them. Totally rocking man!!

Speaking of rocking, bought a t-shirt at d pasar lewat malam near my place in KL before I came home, and I have to say, its one of my better buys from there! It was either that or maybe a MU jersey with Ronaldo at the back. Oh well, can wait for next seasons' design la.

Rocking t-shirt!

And now that the months of May-June-July are coming up, that means summer and summer movies. I see got like damn lot of movies comin out in the cinemas and some hopefully will reach our shores uncut! Really looking forward to watch Kung Fu Panda, Batman, The Incredible Hulk amongst others... Too many I can't remember their names. AArrrgHHh.. All I hope is that got teman to watch with la. My dear is back in seremban so.. hmm.. unless dear, u come kl n watch :P

Right, one week down, one more to go.. May 21st is coming real soon!! The weather here is freakin hot and whats worse, freakin humid!! But I guess it will be unfair for me to complain looking at the conditions in Myanmar and China rite? This Monday will be Wesak Day and I guess it won't

Champions Again!~~~

WARNING : This will be more of a FOOTBALL post. If you DON'T like FOOTBALL, then scroll down to the bottom part la.. Lamer! :P

10th title for us, 10th medal for Giggsy

Finally the 2007/2008 English Premier League has come to an end. And boy what a roller coaster season it was! After slogging it out, easily beating the big clubs, losing to the ones we should've steam rolled over and having a possibility of the title being decided on goal difference for the very first time, in about 24 hours ago, Manchester United lifted the trophy for the 10th time in 16 years fair n square!

Wasn't much of a nail biting game last nite but I decided to watch it at home because I wanted to savour the trophy presentation which I would've missed had I watch it at a mamak stall. And for once this season, Ryan Giggs didn't suffer my wrath of being a 'has been' and me often calling it time for him to retire with grace while he still can. Probably if we lift the trophy at Moscow in about a weeks time then we'll see how it goes eh? But hey, he has been in every title winning side since the Premier League was formed so I'm not saying I don't like him or he doesn't have what it takes, but I'll leave that for another day to banter la.

That boy Ronaldo

Well, for the most part of it, we have Cristiano Ronaldo to thank for the 41 goals in all competitions and 31 in the league. Hopefully he will play a major role in winning the Champions League trophy on May the 21st. And more hopeful that he stays with United for a very long future! And turning the channel over to the chelsea match after the final whistle was blown was superb... IF ur NOT a Chelsea fan la. Everyones faces was like black n a mile long. The entire stadium was quiet. haha.. Ok la, I guess that is all for the football for now.. Now, the Reds will march on to Moscow!!

Anyways, haven't been doin much lately since I came back to malacca granted its only been 2 days la. Someone recommended the book 'The Alchemist' to me just recently. Anyone has a copy of it and willing to share? hehe..

Its Been Awhile

After nearly a 2 month hiatus, I guess its time to start blogging again don't ya think? The past few weeks have been sort of a 'stop-go' notion for me. There were times when i was really occupied with things and times when i just stayed at home and wasted my time away. And because of all that I was unable to commit or find much of a motivation to blog la so to speak. Well thanks to ya'll for pushing me to blog. Basically dropping HEAVY hints to me la.. :P

So most of u might have already known my desire to stop this course and pursue something else, like flying for instance. Well, sad to say, I have kinda failed in achieving that as in I will be still in the same course come the start of next semester even if I have to re-do it due to my kinda unsatisfactory results la. Sure there was alot of hu-ha between me and my parents about me changing courses and to cut things short, I suppose I gotta have a grit between my teeth and carry on for now la. Its not like I don't know what its like to be held behind eh. However if I do receive any scholarship call from any of the airline companies, I'd be goin for it for sure!

And then after that lil' fiasco, I went back to KL cos I was suppose to work during PC Fair for Asus laptops. Though the pay was kinda minimal (i know people dont usually discuss their wage in public but what the heck) at RM180 for 3 days excluding commission, I still took the job cos hey, its not like I've got anything better to do during the next 3 days of the event rite. Plus it was my first time actually working with pay! So basically how much we were paid wasn't an issue cos I was in it for the experience but if they don't pay me, somebody's gonna get a hurt real bad!

It was kinda cool and fun working at the fair to be honest. Got to see lots of different kinda customers, some polite n nice, some rude, some think their damn smart, and some who just come over n over again looking at the same model but in the end never buy... Which makes us tu lan -.-''.... And it was quite fun too having a pass card that allows you to walk all over the fair with out having to follow those security erected walls. Those who went before would know what I'm talking about. But I never expected how exhausting it could get. We worked for basically a 10-10 shift with breaks for lunch n dinner only. At the end of the first day, my legs was all sore d, went home terus peng and to top it off, i didn't manage to sell that many laptops. At least second day wasn't so bad, legs not sore d, only jz the feet and sales picked up and of cos on the last day, didn't feel tired at all mainly cos got MU vs Arsenal later on la. Haha..

Well that was that la, and after the past 3 days of working, I myself really won't mind buying an Asus laptop! I got a strong feeling that they'll call me back for the next PC fair cos as far as the part timer rookies was concerned, I was the top seller of notebooks! haha.. I say rookie cos there was 1 dude who sold laptops before so no surprise as he managed to out sell me la. But competition in our group is worthless cos the overall commission is shared. Only thing was on the last day, the first 10 sales person who managed to sell a laptop will get 30 bucks extra. I was person number 2! So a great experience overall la so to say, and at least now in my resume I'll be able to fill in the 'previous jobs' slot. hehehe..

Then after that was just chilling around at home looking for a new place to stay for next semester. My roommates (currently got 1 pendatang asing) and I plan to shift out of the room cos 3 to a room is just too much and we want our own privacy la. So the search is on and sad to say so far it has not yielded anything yet. I still have till end of this month to find a place though. So i suppose time is still on my side for now la.

About a week after my PC Fair gig, my dad enrolled me into this Personal Development Leadership course la (Yong Hwee if ur reading this, i'm sure u know which course i mean). Don't be fooled by the word leadership, cos they ain't teaching u how to be a leader to lead ur men but how to lead urself. Long story short bout this course is that it teaches u how to be truly successful in life and how to make urself a better person. Its held sumwhere along Kuchai Lama, KL and thing is, participants had to stay in the shoplot like building for 4 days! If that wasn't so bad, no handphones or contact with the outside world (unless of course emergency) is allowed during the duration of the time! Can't tell you much about it cos its suppose to be confidential, but one really has to have grit , determination, and the open mindedness to accept anything that is being thought to you.

And the thing is, the session that I attended was for adults so out of the 27 participants, I assumed i was gonna be the youngest but there was 1 more girl younger than me and another one just a year older. The rest of them are like late 20s til early 50s! And the good thing for me was, most of them come from the engineering sector so can say I made alot of contacts la. And surprisingly, around 20 of the 27 of us works in Malacca!! Talk to them n ask them where they work, malacca, malacca, malacca. To be honest, a bulk was from Infineon la, eh Yong, one of them was ur senior engineer that u had to report to when u had to do ur practical there and all of them know ur dad weh! And almost all of them are like executives, managers, branch heads, division heads and directors!

The accommodation itself was not that bad at least not to me cos i've lived in the hostel before. But there were some of them not used to this as I assume they are more accustomed to swanky hotels with big beds and hot baths. Instead what we had was double decker beds for 4 in a room with no place for cupboard but only enough for a towel rack n a place to chuck ur bag. At least got air-con but no hot water in the hostel like cubicle showers. And to be honest, the weather outside must be freakin hot through out the day cos even when I showered at 1 in the morning, the water wasn't freezing cold.

The food however was a very pleasant surprise la, the people there really fed us well. 6 meals a day folks!! only in malaysia I suppose this would happen. And the 3 main meals are usually very nice and minimum 2 meat dishes ( fish n chicken confirm got) and 1 vege and 1 more either egg or toufu. And the best thing was its buffet! Eat la how much u want. The in between meals pula the normal Malaysian style kuihs. But I have to say, this beats any hostel/canteen food I've had in my life!

At the end of the 4 day course, we had sort of a closing ceremony where all of us had to give a speech about what we learned to an audience of bosses (who sent their managers/directors/workers here) and family members (the 3 younger ones including myself had our parents there!!). It got really emotional for some I tell you, cry pun ada. As for me, tried to play a straight face and succeeded! Mr Ice Cool i am. :D ... And we wont get a cert or anything until we come back for a follow up session which will be held at the end of the coming week.

And after that, I stayed at my aunts house for the nite before my uncle send me all the way back to Setapak the next day. Not before having lunch at Finnegan's at Sri Hartamas though! Had spaghetti carbonara and a long island ice tea!! For lunch!!.. For those who think its a normal ice tea, go google wat is long island and u'll see what i mean.

And when i got back, the first phone call i received was to play futsal! Barely 2 hours after lunch!! ahah... So the rest of the days was spent at my condo watching shows, playing FM, hanging with my dear or playing futsal la.

Was home this weekend, thought can senyap senyap come home n go back without being noticed. But i should've known better rite. So just came back from dinner with Don, Leo n Su Ling actually, thanks Leo my pirate ... ahhaha.. for lending me burn my shows :D. Will be meeting them one more time tomorrow for breakfast before Su Ling gonna send me to the bus station :D. Guess I better get some shut eyes soon if not tomorrow can't wake up

And thanks dear for withstanding me for the past few months, i know i've been a lil pre occupied with myself eh. haha..
